FRESH FISH. EVERY. DAY.

The Fish Market

The Chatham Pier Fish Market is stocked with super-fresh local fish and shellfish, with a focus on the highest-quality seafood available – sourced locally whenever possible.

Because availability follows the boats and the season, the lineup can change day to day, but the standard stays the same: exceptional freshness and quality.

"Can't get fish any more fresh than this place. Right from the dock in front to your plate for takeout!"

Our Cook & Crack Lobster service makes it easy to enjoy fresh steamed lobster without the work – whether you’re eating on the pier, heading to the beach, or bringing lobster home for a cookout. We steam (never boil) your lobster and keep it fully intact, then crack the claws and split the tail so it’s ready to eat with no mess. It’s complimentary, seamless, and the closest thing to dock-to-table lobster you’ll find on Cape Cod.

The Chatham Pier Difference

At Chatham Pier Fish Market, “boat to counter” isn’t a tagline – it’s how we operate every day. While plenty of markets talk about freshness, very few sit right on an active commercial fishing pier like Chatham Fish Pier. That direct access to the local fleet means much of what we sell comes straight off the boat and into our market within hours, delivering a level of quality you can truly see, smell, and taste.

Our market is uniquely built to protect freshness and quality. Our saltwater well pumps 6,000 gallons of fresh seawater into the building daily to keep lobsters and shellfish clean in a controlled environment, helping products like steamers (soft-shell clams) naturally purge sand while staying firm and flavorful – without compromising their integrity. This careful handling from landing to counter ensures what you take home (or eat on the pier) is as flavorful and close to the source as it gets.

We’re a unique hybrid: part traditional fish market, part classic New England fish shack – and that same boat-fresh seafood is what fuels our kitchen. The catch we’re proud to sell at the counter is the catch we’re proud to serve in our food, so every lobster roll, chowder, and fish & chips starts with seafood that’s handled right from the moment it hits the dock.
